Authority Approves Marketing Agreement With IMG College, LLC
BURBANK, Calif., May 14, 2013 – The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority has approved a marketing agreement with IMG College, LLC that will link the Burbank Bob Hope Airport with UCLA Athletics and designate the Airport as the “Official Airport of the Rose Bowl Stadium.” IMG College is the official marketing representative of UCLA Athletics and the Rose Bowl Operating Company. The Authority approved the execution of a three-year marketing agreement effective May 15, 2013 totaling $309,000. The Authority has an option for one two-year extension after the first three years.

Seaport Airline Announces Service From El Centro/Imperial, CA to Burbank Bob Hope Airport
BURBANK, Calif., April 30, 2013 – Portland, Oregon based SeaPort Airlines will begin service from Imperial County Airport on May 1, 2013, to Burbank Bob Hope Airport. SeaPort will offer 12 nonstop round-trips per week, flying a nine-seat Cessna Caravan aircraft, and will operate from the Airport’s Terminal A.

2013 "Tower Banner Student Art Contest" Winners Announced
BURBANK, Calif., March 4, 2013 – The high school student winners of the Bob Hope Airport "2013 Tower Banner Student Art Contest" from Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena Unified School Districts presented their winning artwork at today’s March 4, 2013 Airport Authority meeting. The winners were chosen from 186 entries across all three districts. Joining them were their art teachers and district art coordinators, along with many of the students’ proud parents.

Airport Authority Commission Elects Glendale Commissioner Rafi Manoukian as President
BURBANK, Calif., January 15, 2013 – The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority, owner and operator of Bob Hope Airport, has elected new interim officers to head the Authority Commission. The election followed the resignation of former Airport Authority President and Pasadena Commissioner Chris Holden, who assumed office in the State Assembly in December, representing the 41st District.

Airport Authority Retains Firms to Study Multi-Modal Transit Connections to Bob Hope Airport
BURBANK, Calif., January 14, 2013 — The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority has voted to approve retaining two firms, AECOM, Inc. and STV, Inc., to conduct studies focusing on improving multi-modal transit connections to and from Burbank Bob Hope Airport and to begin planning for potential land uses in and around the Airport, including the B-6 property, site of the former Lockheed Martin “Skunk Works.”

Burbank Bob Hope Airport Parking Rates For Some Lots to Be Adjusted January 15, 2013
BURBANK, Calif., December 4, 2012 – Daily parking rates for selected lots at Burbank Bob Hope Airport will be adjusted upward by $2 effective January 15, 2013. Rates for other lots will remain unchanged, and Airport patrons will still be able to park at the current $10 per day economy rate in Lot A, located at Hollywood Way and Winona Avenue, one block north of the main Airport entrance.

Burbank Bob Hope Airport Remains Open Despite Runway Lighting Failure
BURBANK, Calif., November 29, 2012 — Bob Hope Airport is open. However, last night the Airport experienced a failure of the Runway 15-33 edge lighting system and is under repair. Runway 8-26 lighting system is fully operational and is open for arrivals but not departures.

Pile Driving to Commence at Burbank Bob Hope Airport's Transportation Center Construction Site
BURBANK, Calif., September 19, 2012 — On September 20, 2012, prime contractor McCarthy Building Companies will begin the pile driving phase of the construction of Burbank Bob Hope Airport’s Regional Intermodal Transportation Center (RITC). Eight hundred seventy-five piles will be driven between now and the middle of December 2012 to support the above ground structural elements of the RITC.

Bob Hope Airport Hosts Public Workshop for Airport Noise Exposure Map Update and Status of Noise Compatibility Program
BURBANK, Calif., September 17, 2012 — The public is invited to attend a community workshop on the aircraft noise impact study being conducted by the Bob Hope Airport, to be held on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. This is an update to the Airport’s 1998 “Federal Aviation Regulation Part 150 Study,” which evaluates current and future aircraft noise impacts on communities near airports.

Bob Hope Airport Holds "Fly Back to School" Social Media Contest
BURBANK, Calif., July 11, 2012 — Bob Hope Airport is partnering with Southwest Airlines to host a “Fly Back to School” social media contest from July 11-Aug. 6, 2012. One winner will receive a round-trip ticket, courtesy of Southwest Airlines, to fly back to his or her college or university in the fall. To be considered eligible to win, contestants must be at least 18 years of age, currently enrolled in a college or university, and list the Bob Hope Airport as either their origin or destination airport. Only one entry per contestant is permitted. The winner will be publicly announced on Aug. 14, 2012.

Airport Authority Commission Elects Pasadena Commissioner Chris Holden as President for the Coming Year
