From the moment you arrive, you’ll discover why Bob Hope Airport is so famous for its convenience. We’ve tried to think of everything you might want or need to ensure an easy transition from parking lot, train station or curbside drop-off through the terminal to your boarding area.
Parking and Drop Off & Pick Up
For starters, nothing is far away at Bob Hope Airport. Even our “remote” economy parking lots are closer to the terminal than at other airports, and the quick, free parking shuttle service brings you right to the front door. We’re also famous for Valet Parking right in front of the terminal when time and convenience really matter. Meeters and greeters have Short Term Parking available next to the terminal, allowing for easy pick-up of arriving passengers.
Skycaps, Police, and Lost & Found
You’ll find skycaps at the entrance of Terminals A and B, and the Airport Police Department Substation is also at the Terminal A main entrance, housing our Lost and Found Desk as well. The skycaps and our community-friendly police officers will gladly answer questions you may have.
You can call Lost & Found at (818) 729‐2231.
Food Services, News, and Gift Shops
Most passengers like the “quick in – quick out” convenience of Bob Hope Airport, and the dining and sundries choices accommodate you whether you’re in a hurry or have some extra time before your flight. The Lunch Box in Terminal A offers complete restaurant and bar service before passing through the security checkpoint, and a variety of food and beverage options are available near the airline gates. Sundries are offered both before and after security by The Paradies Shops, one of the top airport retail operators in the country.
To view shops and food and beverage locations visit our Airport Facilities Map.
We’re proud to say that Bob Hope Airport offers state-of-the-art inline Electronic Detection System baggage detection in both terminals ensuring prompt, safe inspection and loading of your luggage on the aircraft.
If you find yourself at the security checkpoint with a valuable but prohibited item, you can now mail it home to yourself using Mailsafe Express at the Terminal A checkpoint. Mailsafe Express offers 24-hour customer support: (713) 481-6716. More information can be found on their website.
Wi-Fi internet access is available for free throughout the terminal, and customers of ATT and Verizon have secure access to their laptop accounts as well.
When you leave the terminal, rental car counters are in the Regional Intermodal Transportation Center customer service building, and cabs and shuttle van service are located on the pedestrian islands in front of the terminal. There is also free shuttle service to the Bob Hope Airport Train Station where Metrolink and Amtrak trains stop, although it is also an easy walk if you’re traveling light!
