To make your flight at Bob Hope Airport as enjoyable as possible, you should make yourself aware of TSA requirements regarding carry-on items, prohibited items and more.
Following are a few Travel Tips that will help make your trip a pleasant one:
| Get to the airport early. Allow EXTRA TIME to find parking or to find pick-up and drop-off space at the curb (HINT: drive in lane #2 and go past Terminal A baggage claim for better curb access) | |
| Be prepared. Arrive ready to travel, luggage well packed and photo ID and airline documents easily available. Double check the contents of your pockets, bags and carry-on luggage to ensure no prohibited items were inadvertently packed. You are required to remove footwear for X-ray screening; place shoes in plastic bins with the rest of your carry-on items. | |
| Use checked luggage as a fast option for liquids, gels and aerosols. Liquids, gels and aerosols as carry-ons must be in: 3 ounce or smaller containers placed in a 1 quart, clear, plastic, zip-top bag. Only one bag per passenger may be taken through the screening checkpoint. Larger quantities must be placed in checked luggage. |
|
| Do not wrap gifts. Security officers may have to search contents of packages. | |
| Do not pack fragile or valuable items in checked baggage. Ship or take them with you in carry-on baggage (no liquids). | |
| Do not over-pack bags. Closing overstuffed bags can be difficult and may result in that checked bag being delayed. |
HAVE A GREAT TRIP!
